Capt.Somesh Batra, a Certified Master Mariner, is one of the founder members of Seahorse Group of companies, Mumbai, India which was established in 1980 and Seahorse Group is one of the premier shipping and allied services’ company in India.

- Master’s Certificate of Proficiency and Competence from Ministry of Transport, Government of India in the year 1970.
- Post Graduation in Shipping Management and Certificate of “Management of Offshore Operations” from Plymouth Polytechnic, United Kingdom.
